이 영화는 Once와 Begin again의 감독인 John Carney 감독의 3번째 영화다. Once로 영화감독으로서 성공적인 데뷔를 하고, 가능성을 인정받았다. 하지만 Begin again과 Sing street를 거치며 그 둘에 대한 평가는 Once에 미치지 못한다고는 하지만 그들이 뭐라 한들 어떠랴. 취향은 개개인의 것인 것을. 영화에서 내가 얻은 감정과 감상은 다음 두 노래에 있다.
